Marshall County Commissioners and County Council Donate Emergency Funds to Support Local Food Pantries

Plymouth, Indiana – The Marshall County Commissioners and Marshall County Council are donating $5,000 to the United Way of Marshall County COVID-19 Community Response and Recovery Fund. The donation will be distributed to local food pantries to help meet emergency needs.

“Food pantries in Marshall County are providing a vital service to our families during this crisis,” said Kevin Overmyer, Marshall County Commissioner. “We don’t want anyone to go hungry. This donation will help people who need it, right away.”

In partnership with the United Way, the donation from the Marshall County Commissioners and Marshall County Council today will help address a need many families are experiencing for the first time – the need for help from a food pantry. Food pantries throughout Marshall County will receive the funds to help them restock their shelves and continue their important services.
