"Where Does Your Money Go?" Program
ARGOS
(10/22/09) - Does your money run out before the end of the
month? Is it difficult to pay your bills on time? Do you wish
you had more money?
If you answered yes to one or more of these questions, then
attending "Where Does Your Money Go?" is right for
you. The United Way of Marshall County will host a free Where
Does Your Money Go? program in Argos beginning November 2nd.
The program was created by Purdue Extension to provide an
introductory course in money management and financial stability.
Where Does Your Money Go? consists of four 1˝ hour sessions
held at the B&R Building in Argos every Monday night from
6:30 pm – 8:00 pm on November 2, 9, 16, and 23.
Attendees will learn to:
Recognize
where their money goes
Stop
spending leaks to save money for what they really want
Develop
a spending-savings plan
In addition to receiving a certification of completion at
the end of the course, attendees are eligible for the following
benefits:
• Individuals
receiving Walnut Township assistance can earn a maximum of
6 hours of credit toward
work
fair community service.
• Graduates
will receive a $10 gas card to help defray the cost of traveling
to the program.
• Graduates
will also receive Crib Club Coupons from the Women’s Care
Center.
Funding for the program is provided by a major grant from
the Indiana Association of United Ways. Major sponsors include
1st Source Foundation and the United Way of Marshall County.
