United Way Campaign Kick-Off Luncheon
09/06/07 The United Way of Marshall County will hold its Campaign
Kick-off Luncheon on Wednesday, September 12, 2007, at Occasion's
Banquet Hall in LaPaz, beginning at 11:30 a.m. The luncheon
is underwritten through the generosity of Mr. Tom Langdon
and Ms. Deb Reed of Professional Caterers.
During
the luncheon, Mike Lintner, CEO of Marshall Starke Development
Center, will serve as Master of Ceremonies. In lieu of a single
speaker, clients and directors from several of the member
agencies will emphasize the impact of community funding. Heart
& Hands, Marshall County Council on Aging, Beaman Home,
Community Hospital of Bremen and The Boys & Girls Club
of Marshall County will be represented.
A special
award presentation is also on the program.
This year's
theme is 'Improving Lives' with a campaign goal of raising
$500,000. "A single gift to United Way of Marshall County
benefits over 60 local health and human service agencies and
programs," according to Brad Serf, 2007 Campaign Chair.
"Through the United Way of Marshall County, we can improve
the lives of local kids, families, friends, co-workers and
seniors
please join me in making a difference in our
local community. It's local, it's efficient and it's what
matters!"
The public
is invited to attend and reservations are required. Contact
